Addiction

Is fundamentalism, of any religious bent, a form of addiction. A mental health issue? From my own experience, it is just as devastating as any other addiction except for the fact that the addict is not doing any physical harm to themselves, but their addiction has caused YOU physical, mental and spiritual pain. Truth be told, they act EXACTLY like addicts. No matter what evidence or information is laid before them, they usually don't listen. It's like going to an alcoholic totally lost in her addiction and telling her that the booze is a major problem, Denial kicks right in. "I don't have a problem, YOU have the problem, and the only way we can solve this is if you drink with me."
