Welcome SD. Look forward to seeing your perspective on the debates here.
Welcome SD. Can't you tell us something of your view of atheism or humanism in Bahrain, please?
Hey there,
I am a Bahraini Atheist too. I was born and raised in Bahrain as a Sunni Muslim. I have renounce Islam more than 4 years ago.
It’s going well, I suppose. Even though, I am pretty much outspoken about my stance on religion and all my family and most of my friends know about me. Of course, I had some issues with some people and even with my family, but most issues have already had been resolved.
How is it going with you? Let me know if there is anything I can help with.
WOW! Crossing the International time line really makes a difference on those dates!!!
NOPE: No atheists in Bahraini, not a single one.
May your delusional god bless your delusional mind. Apparently, the religion spell is yet to be broken on some of AR members (not that I believe in spells).
I am not sure on what are you basing your claims or in which era do you still live, but I am sure that it is safe to assume few atheist in Bahrain do exist. Thanks to the internet, we are able to seek the truth and question dogmatic religions.
I have to admit that I do not know of any other atheists in Bahrain besides one of my friends. Given that I come from this culture, I can assume that many atheists are still closeted. Being open about this subject will be heavily stigmatized and poses risks of loosing family, friends and may receive threats from people.
Bahrainis are quite open-minded and you can see many of them subscribe heavily to the western culture. Many of them identify as Muslims ,yet do not necessarily follow the teachings of Quran or Hadith.
I like my frigging dislike! READ THE POST AGAIN!!! It's sarcasm. The OP is 03/14/2018. Today is 7/19/18 in case you did not get the morning paper.
Sorry: This sounds angry - I don't care about a dislike..... just an attempt at humor.

Ok. Fine. Fine. Hahahaha
I have to admit, I didn’t quite get what is meant with the first statement. So, I tirned to the below one.
I apologize ^_^

Hey, dude. No worries. I am guessing English is not your first language, therefore picking up on some of our sarcasm can understandably be a bit difficult sometimes. Even so, your English is actually better than some of the folks who pass through here whose first language IS English. Just so you know. *grin*
And I can attest to that fact for myself. My biggest problem is that my mind races faster than I can type. Thus, I end up leaving out letters, sometimes whole words, and it makes me look like a dullard. Then again, I've always looked at myself that way. Hell, if me wife were still alive you could ask her. And for everyone's enjoyment, here is the best one I shall always remember.
We were checking out of a store with our daughters. Our total came up so many dollars and just a few cents. After looking, my wife asked me, "Sweetheart, you got any change."
I pat my pockets finding none, then blurted, "Sorry, I've got no cents."
My wife, "I already know that. I asked if you had any change."
And the cashier trying to keep from busting out laughing and failing miserably. ;-P

I know this is an old post… I'm a Bahraini atheist too and I'm still in the closet because my family is a very religious shia family… I would love to know some fellow Bahraini atheists whom I can have conversations with…
