I am a thinker and writer from India who believes that the idea of god is grossly overrated and the practice of religion is vilely corrupt. Through my growing years in a Bengali Hindu household, I heard stories about god and his deeds and witnessed the blind faith that my loved ones vested in this superior being. Then I reached the age of reason, and there were countless questions in my mind that remained unanswered – not because I left them unaddressed, but because nobody had a reasonable explanation to any of my concerns. To date, my queries remain and I continue to seek answers. Who knows, perhaps someday I will find one.
