Separate statements by the Taliban’s Supreme Court said a man and a woman were convicted of adultery and tried to run away from home. They were flogged in the northern province of Panjsher on June 5th.
Earlier this year, the Taliban publicly executed a man convicted of murder as thousands watched at a stadium in the northern province of Jawzjan. The brother of the murdered man shot the convicted five times with a rifle.
