Look at the world as either “Muslim” or “non-Muslim,” and you have accepted the mentality of “us against them,” and the “Dar al Islam” (House of Islam) and the “Dar al Harb” (House of War). Buried in a mental desert is every exotic and diverse feature that makes you who you are.
I hope that we can learn from Narendra Dabholkar that being an atheist is more than just not believing in gods, it’s also an implicit belief in the value of truth. That is a noble pursuit, and touches upon all that is worthy of emulation in humanity.
If evangelical Christians started caring about the things they were supposed to, atheists might not have as much to fight with them about. What would we do then?
Currently, the largest discussion area for atheists on the Internet is on Reddit, where thousands of "Godless Redditors" meet to discuss news, politics, philosophy and other topics with fellow atheists every day.
