After philosophers, scholars and religious leaders have spent centuries debating over the existence of God, Tea Party Darling and Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert finally proved the existence of God without any trouble whatsoever.

“Bob Murphey used to say, ‘You know, I feel so bad for atheists, I do. Think about it… No matter how smart they think they are, atheists have to admit that they believe the equation: nobody plus nothing equals everything,’” said Gohmert while quoting comedian Bob Murphey during a prayer rally in Washington DC on July 9.

“How embarrassing for an intellectual to have to say, ‘Yeah, I believe that.’ Nobody plus nothing equals everything,” concluded Gohmert added, no longer speaking as Murphey.

After humbly waiting for the audience to stop applauding him, Gohmert said that one could not get everything unless there was someone responsible for creating everything and that creator is the Lord, as the world knows. Clearly, to Gohmert, the truth about God’s existence can be proved as simply as quoting a comedian who said something along those lines, just one time in his life.
