Misogyny: Lack of Divinity and "Specialness"

"Women's bodily functions, particularly those that relate to reproduction, are an uncomfortable reminder that human beings are not special. When women's bodies behave just as every other mammal's does – menstruation ("on heat" in other animals), pregnancy, birth and lactation – we cannot pretend that we are different.

Far from being made in the image of the divine, we're just another animal, subject to our biology. Worse, it is also a reminder that if we reproduce just like all the other mammals, then we will likely die like them too.

It is my belief that it is this dislike of being confronted with our lack of divinity and specialness that is at the heart of most misogyny. "

Sort of makes sense why women are blamed for original sin when their bodily functions show evidence there is no deity.

Women create human life, with

Women create human life, with a tiny bit of help from a guy for genetic material from a guy to keep the gene pool mixing, which is required from an ever changing and evolving world. Not god, god did not directly create human life (or any life for that matter.) Which of course is well explained by the fact there is no god.

Humans need to stop using

Humans need to stop using religion to try and make them special. They need to stop using religion and culture against women. Humans are just another animal, mammals to be exact. We breed like other mammals do, and die like any other animal does. Humans need to except there is no god or heaven. No one has produced the testable evidence for a god, all they can do is use faith to say there is a god.

I remember reading some years

I remember reading some years ago a book ,part of a series called the "Masks of God".
There were several volumes in the series ,each dealing with a different "appearance" of God/Gods....
Animals , humanoids , abstract concepts etc.etc. One volume was concerened with the spread of female deities,
in particular the primeaval Earth Mother.

It was postulated that Earth Mother fertility Godess' became widespread during the time our species was living as nomadic
hunter/gatherers(**) mainly because although there were male hunting gods and fish gods , lion/tiger gods.... it was only the female
fertility principal that was demonstrable.

Women were/are capable of not only producing new life but of producing the food required by said new born....
a demonstrable and very necessary miracle even by todays standards.

The decline in the Earth Mother cults seems to coincide with the spread of early agriculture...when it became increasingly important
that crops were not flattened at the whim of some petulant sky god (usually male).

Its possible that it is from this period that the rivalry between male and female cults originated.

(**) It would seem that many of our modern traits date to this very period....

The distinctions are many but

The distinctions are many but most overt is the female inability to do comparable work, where specific effort is measurable. This translates to not being able to carry their own loads.

In the military this was manifest in preventing women from taking on critical physical burdens in war time situations. In my case I had to "hump" two 50-lb tools boxes because a female "mechanic" could not hump her own. She was supposed to be able to walk 50 paces with a 50-lb tool box or it disqualified her from that particular job. All were expected to carry their loads, perform their duties and carry on as equals.

But, that was hardly the case.

Most of the enlisted women I knew in the military were not there to serve their nation. They were there to serve themselves and that was the way of it. The services turned a blind eye to it because the truth that they were incapable of performing their given roles was countered with grievances related to misogyny. No man wanted to have to suffer a 2-front war so everyone put up with losers in their ranks.

The few women who did take their roles seriously knew no one better than them at it. It was pretty cool to have that kind of relationship in our midst. It also got many a man's dedication to rise above his natural lazy-ass ways.

When the intent to be equal subordinates the reality of it, something is terribly wrong in the system that allows it. Otherwise, in other roles where the field is leveled I'll make an argument for equality every time. But, in a system where a person's measurable contribution passes them or fails them, they should accept the results and submit to remedial training or get the boot, whichever satisfies the system. If a review of the situation takes a turn towards misogyny and that review rules such conduct out, the results of the performance review should stand and the person goes to remedial training or is put out. That's not the case, though. What usually happens is the claimant is promoted out of the situation and given a new assignment.

The US Federal Aviation Administration if rife with this per my own first hand observation, as are all government entities. And, it doesn't just extend to women. It affects all agencies for misogyny as well as cultural affirmative action.

So, the misogyny men are accused of is not only real, its elicited from them in a systemic calamity of claimants and victim-making attorneys. It's now a monster and all anyone can do is run from it (recluses like me) or play the game of feeding the monster. In the end, women are still the victims.

Mysogyny to me is just hating

Mysogyny to me is just hating people because of their genitals, and is no different from hating a person in account of any other bodily feature. Hating midgets or tall people for example.

The reason people hate women is because it makes them feel better about themselves to put others down. Don't ask why, it never made sense to me either.

Women are just ideal targets- its very hard to subjugate a nation of dwarves, but you can enslave your women, and even ingrain it into your culture for thousands of years to come.
